I am studying Arts Management at Columbia College Chicago and International Trade and Economy at Beijing International Studies University, with both programmes expected to finish in 2027. These studies have led me to explore the relationship between cultural activity, organisational decisions and audience data.

During summer 2026, I completed two internships in Chicago. At the Museum of Post Punk and Industrial Music, I supported exhibition preparation, organised archival materials and led visitor tours. At Ambitious Entertainment, I coordinated artist communication and scheduling, supported social content and marketing campaigns, and assisted with events.

The projects on this site explore related questions. Beyond Opening Weekend examines how opening-weekend gross relates to a film’s final gross within a selected sample. From Zero to Breakout compares chart histories and dated events across eight artist-song cases. Both include notes on data sources, definitions and limitations.

I am also interested in how research is presented. Anatomy of a Breakout explores the relationship between a career narrative and dated evidence through an interactive editorial format. These projects have helped me consider how structure, charts and interaction affect the reading of information.

My contribution to the projects

My involvement has focused on proposing ideas and direction, reviewing outputs, identifying problems and giving visual feedback. I work iteratively with AI tools for programming and implementation. The case studies describe the resulting methods and outputs; my contribution is primarily in direction and review.

How I work

  • Document sources. Keep source material distinguishable from cleaned data and derived measures.
  • State limitations. Explain the sample, relevant definitions and gaps in the available evidence.
  • Consider the reader. Use structure and visual presentation to make the approach and findings easier to follow.
